Microstructural and Mechanical Properties of B-Cr Coatings Formed on 145Cr6 Tool Steel by Laser Remelting of Diffusion Borochromized Layer Using Diode Laser

The paper presents study results focused on the microstructural, mechanical, and physicochemical properties of B-Cr coatings obtained by means modification diffusion borochromized layers diode laser beam. studies were conducted 145Cr6 tool steel. Diffusion produced at 950 °C in powder mixture containing boron carbides as a source ferrochrome chromium. In next step these remelted using Powers: 600, 900, 1200 W used during processes. microstructure, microhardness, chemical composition, well wear corrosion resistance newly-formed determined. As result beam interaction, layer was mixed with steel substrate. showed that too low power causes cracks newly formed coating, other hand, higher deep remelting resulting loss microhardness. reduced comparison caused occurrence or remelting. For 600 W, small decrease observed, but note this coating much thicker than layers. On significant resistance. Newly had an advantageous microhardness gradient between
